Summary
After arriving to Bagdogra from Delhi, one gets to see the Tashiview Point, Phudong Monastery, Orchid Sanctuary, the Government Institute of Cottage Industry and such places of tourist interest in Bagdogra. In Gangtok one can visit the Rumtek Monastery. Later one can go trekking to Khadong. A full day is required to enjoy and trek along the tea gardens of Tarku.
The day after trekking in Tarku, one gets to visit the Rabongola monastery which is considered to be very sacred. The Northeast Splendor tour continues with a full day trek to Legship. The next day one gets to visit the second oldest monastery of the world, the Pemayangtse Monastery.
The North East Splendor tour is incomplete without paying a visit to the historical place of Yuksom. It takes about six hours to trek to Yuksom. Later, one gets to go for a challenging trek to Bakhim which takes another six hours.
Another such adventurous trek is to Dzongri where one has to trek heights of 2750 meters to 4250 meters.. After resting for that day, one gets to treks to Yuksom on the next day.
