Overview
In India, the cities of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra are known as the golden triangle. Jaipur, the pink city, Delhi, the capital of India, and Agra, the second capital of the Mughals in India and Mandawa, the open art galley of Rajasthan, are the destinations to be covered when on a tour of the golden triangle and Mandawa.
Summary
The tour of the Golden triangle and Mandawa starts with a sight seeing tour of Delhi. In old Delhi one can entail a visit to Raj Ghat, a memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid, largest mosque in India and Red Fort. In New Delhi one visits the Qutub Minar, Government buildings (Parliament house and Rashtrapati Bhawan), Laxmi Narayan temple, Lotus temple, Rajpath, India Gate, Akshardham temple and many such places.
Later we move on to Agra the city that proudly holds the Taj. On the way one can also pay a visit to Fatehpur Sikri. The city is in ruins but quite a few architectural marvels like the Buland Darwaza are still there. In Agra one gets to visit the Red fort, Diwan-e-am and tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Post Agra one continues the tour of golden triangle and Mandawa tour to Jaipur and visits the Hawa Mahal, City palace and Amber Fort. Mandawa is the last place to visit where one gets to see the frescoes in the havelis and mahals that make Mandawa famous.
