Chonor House Hotel Overview
Chonor House is centrally located in McLeod Ganj overlooking the temple of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.. It was built by the Norbulingka institute as a part of their attempt to preserve the Tibetan culture. Chonor House was designed and built by the British architect David Porter and the interior decoration was done by three different groups of Tibetan painters, which is why the hotel is so influenced by the Tibetan architecture.
