Shahpura House has a rich legacy starting from its name and also its antecedents. It is named after the founder ruler of Shekhawat, called Maha Rao Shekhaji. It used to be the palace of the Rajputs and is almost 200 years old.
It was reconstructed, refurnished and given a face-lift in 1956 and converted into a hotel in the year 1991-92. It was renamed Shahpura House and since then it has been playing host to both Indian and foreign guests. It has a green environment and guests love the green lawns.
