Lake Isle Hotel is an island resort situated in the Nagin area. From the Shikara stand at Ashai Bagh Bridge (the Shikara Stand is itself at a distance of 10 minutes from the taxi stand at Boulevard Dalgate) it takes about 10 minutes to reach the hotel in a Shikara (boat). One of its kinds in the entire Kashmir valley, Lake Isle Hotel was the retreat of the British officers during the days of World War II.
