On the eastern side of the Lake Pichola is the majestic city palace which was built in the early twentieth century. A portion of this building was renovated in the most explicit manner to establish one of the largest and finest heritage hotels in India.
Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace was awarded the 'National tourism Award for the best heritage hotel in 'Heritage Grand' category for the year 2001-2002 by the Department of Tourism, Government of India.

The seven deluxe suites of Fateh Prakash Palace have been decorated with the original Mewar paintings and antique furniture. The restaurant has been beautifully decorated with magnificent paintings and articles from the ancient era. The Sunset View Terrace offers lunch and other refreshments throughout the day.
